There are three things that horse owners should never do.
1. Imagine the next rotation assuming we win
The moment you do this, you will go to hell for some reason. First of all, approach the race in front of you with a humble attitude.
2. Ego-searching with excitement the day before the race
I tend to do it the day before when I expect a good run. I wonder what everyone else thinks of me, so I do an ego search and it feels good because most people give me high marks. But then I usually fail in the actual race. I'm too scared to do an ego search after the race.
3. Try to see the horse before he comes to the paddock
In Fuchu, you can see your beloved horses warming up from a building. This is also basically the first block of hell. The horse owners are a bit too stubborn and are opening the door to misfortune.
It's all occult-like, but for some reason it applies to me every time. I know that the important thing is humility and calmness, but I forget that right away.
